Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
